Oregon Military Department

The Oregon Military Department administers the Oregon Army and Air National Guard, managing statewide readiness, training, and infrastructure. Originating from early militia formations in the mid-1800s, OMD coordinates statewide emergency and defense missions. It also provides environmental oversight, facility management, and supports dual-use aviation assets at training bases in Portland, Hermiston, and Klamath Falls.
